About This Item
London: Victor Gollancz LTD, 1985 . First edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 9" by 5.5". None. A very smart, first edition of this work of historical fiction by British author Alan Anthony Price. First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Written by British author Anthony Price, who was best known for his espionage thrillers. He served as a Captain in the British Army from 1947-1949, which can be seen to influence his writing. 'Here be Monsters' tells the events following the death of Ex-Major Parker, who is pushed over the edge of a cliff after the D'Day anniversary ceremonies in Normandy. This murder brings together many characters from Price's previous novels, including Dr Audley, Commander Cable and many more. In the publisher's original cloth binding with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with very light bumping to the extremities. Dust wrapper is excellent, with light shelf wear and a touch of fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine
