New York: Harper & Brothers, 1869. First US Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original stamped cloth boards with gilt on spine. Exterior shows spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The top of spine is also frayed. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The front pastedown contains the bookplate from the original owner, Nathaniel Goodwin, and his signature and a 1869 date is penciled on the opposite page. The frontispiece contains a large foldout map showing her Majesty's tower. The map has some foxing and a few creases but is in good shape and attached. Pages are toned due to age and there is also scattered minor foxing and spotting. The rear end page and pastedown is stamped at the bottom "Library Book No.______ Wurtland Graded School". The stamp is not filled out and since Nathaniel Goodwin was listed as the owner in 1869 it is assumed that these two stamped marks were put in the book in a unofficial capacity.
