About This Item
New York: Random House, 1967. First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine / Very Good Plus. Joseph del Gaudio (Jacket Design). Octavo, 8.6 in. x 57 in., pp. 278, [1]. Stated first printing. Black cloth boards with stamped silver motorcycle design to front and red and silver title to spine. Publisher's black topstain. Dustjacket price: $4.95. Very light wear along edges of dustjacket. Protected in mylar. Beautiful copy of one of the archetypal cornerstones of the 1960s and the often bizarre and iconoclastic gifts this era bestowed upon the general consciousness of that (now this) generation. How much we then gained. How much we've since lost!
