London (24, Russell Square): Faber and Faber, 1945. Reprint . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 1945 reprint of 1942 1st ed. In pink-red cloth boards with gilt titles to spine (boards are strong, square and bright, just a little rounded at corners and spine ends). A little faint spotting on text block edges. A previous owner's gift inscription, dated 1946, on the front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original dust jacket (rubbed and chipped on edges and spine joints, patchily discoloured and marked, visible shelf wear). Tall 12 mo. The story of a young Tirolean boy determined to save his dog from an unjust death.
