About This Item

ADVANCE REVIEW COPY of the first edition in dust jacket. The book is fine. The unclipped dust jacket has wear and light fading at the spine ends; there a five areas with missing chips, three of which are at the bottom of the front panel and intrude on the author's name printed there. 'Release Date for Review/Feb 8 1923' stamped on front and back of the dust jacket. Contrary to many later Hollywood novels, this one takes a positive and humorous approach to it's subject: a beauty pageant winner moves to Hollywood with her family to make her way in the movies. See and Brooker.
