Hardcover, 1953, first edition, second impression, published by Peter Nevill Limited, London, 392 pages + xvi.
Measures around 8" by 5 1/2". Dust jacket is very torn and tattered with several tape repairs and a substantial chip missing where it covers the upper spine. It is also a bit marked. Red cloth binding with a few marks but generally clean, though with some signs of shelf-wear and bumping to corners. Binding firm. Page edges a bit tanned but quite clean. Some foxing to endpapers and a gift inscription to front free endpaper. Otherwise page surfaces very clean, with no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
