Munchen: Nymphenburger Verlagshandlung , 1948. 267 pages; a novel; in German text; inscribed the author to his daughter Silvia & with a quote from Rilke also in his hand by Erich Pfeiffer-Belli (sometimes pseud. 'Andreas Heldt') (1901 - 1989) German journalist and writer, especially on artistic matters, educated at the Bauhaus and in the bookbinding workshop of Paul Klee. Pfeiffer-Belli wrote on Klee and several other artists as well as the poet Rilke; approx. 4 3/4" x 8" size; bound in modern marbled paper covered boards; brick- red leather spine label with gilt titles, all edges tinted yellow; light wear to boards; text printed on fair - quality post-war paper; in very good condition. . Presentation By Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
