All 4 volumes are originally from the personal library of renowned child development psychoanalyst Dr. Rene A. Spitz and his wife Ella Spitz. Provenance is certain. "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" is a First Edition 1930 paperback with the color illustration of Beucke on the front cover. Interior is clean and unmarked. Covers are age-toned and soiled with rubbing, creasing, chipping and tearing to the edges, corners and ends of spine. Binding is tight, spine leans. It is in Good condition. "Schinderhannes" is SIGNED and dated 1961 by Carl Zuckmayer. It is in Very Good condition, a paperback; pages and covers are clean and unmarked. Published by S. Fischer Verlag, 1956. "Ein Weg zu Schiller" is SIGNED, dated and inscribed by Carl Zuckmayer to Rene Spitz. Paperback. Very Good condition. Pages are clean, binding is tight. Text block is clean. Spine is uncreased. Covers are clean with fading and rubbing to edges and spine. Published by S. Fischer Verlag in 1959. "Gedichte" is a hardback, SIGNED, dated and inscribed by Zuckmayer to Ella and Rene Spitz. Pages are clean and unmarked. Boards are clean and square. Binding is tight. Text block is clean. Green dust jacket is clean with rubbing, chips and closed tears to edges and corners. Dust jacket is covered in a protective mylar jacket. Published by S. Fischer Verlag, 1960. Pictures available upon request.
