Quarto, pp. xxxii, 788. 67 monochrome photographic illustrations to plates and 38 numbered maps, many double-sided, with details marked in colour. Publishers' chocolate brown cloth with gilt titles to spine, title stamped in blind to upper board. Pale brown unclipped dust-jacket with gilt and black titles. Scattered light foxing, almost exclusively to textblock edge, otherwise a clean bright copy. Jacket a little creased to top edge with a tiny nick to spine. Near Fine book in like jacket. Detailed history of the Hashemites and the challenges they faced over the course of four reigns in the twentieth century. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
