Prague, Czechoslovakia: Artia, (1965).. (1965).. Very good. - Quarto, 11 inches high by 9-1/2 inches wide. White cloth titled in black on the spine with an illustration in black on the front cover, in a printed white dust wrapper. The corners of the covers are bumped, the top corner of the front cover especially so. The dust jacket is darkened and slightly creased along the edges. 145 & [2] pages, plus a folding list of illustrations. Profusely illustrated throughout. The edges of the pages are darkened. Very good. <p>The Czech humorist and satirical writer Jaroslav Hasek (1883-1923) was a social anarchist best remembered for his novel "The Good Soldier Schweik".
