"Between 1947 and1966 Marcel Breuer, Landis Gores, John Johansen, Philip Johnson, Eliot Noyes (known as the Harvard Five) designed houses for themselves and their clients in New Canaan, Connecticut." The author examines about 34 of these mid-century modern houses and includes many b&w photos as well as plans for each. Original publisher's black cloth covers with silver spine lettering and a debossed cover depicting signatures of the architects. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket has a tiny tear (1/16") at the top on the rear panel, else it is in similarly nice condition with no chips or markings. The dust jacket is now in a protective, removable, acetate cover. ; B&W Photographs & Plans; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 173 pages .
