London: Chapman and Hall, c1881. Leather. Very Good. 7" by 5". None. An early edition of this novel by Charles Lever. The Seventeenth Edition. Undated, dated using Copac. Charles Lever was an Irish novelist and raconteur. His novels have been said to be alike to his conversation . In a half morocco binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Small patches of rubbing to the paper covered boards. Bookseller's blind stamp to the recto of front endpaper, David Chivers. Internally, firmly bound. Prior owner's inscription to the title page. Light tidemarks to the bottom corner of twenty five or so pages. Pages are generally bright with instances of scattered spotting, heavier to the endpapers. Very Good
