About This Item
London: W Blackman, 1821. Good. 3 volumes of 6 originally published comprising engraved music bound in contemporary half black morocco with gilt lines and decorative spines. Internally fresh in sound bindings; the volume numbers and price (8/6) have been added to the title page in manuscript. Volumes two and three are in uniform bindings over marbled boards which are rubbed to spine ends, edges and corners but overall are very good. Volume one is good in a similar binding over worn plain boards, with a short tear to the foot of the spine, and generally more signs of use. Contemporary ownership inscription to the front paste-downs. An attractive set. Good 1821
