London: John Murray, 1951. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Reprint of the 1948 edition. 184 pp, with illustrations. A few spots of soiling to boards and endpapers; else clean and sound. Dust jacket is price clipped, with light shelf wear. Jarvis was a British soldier and civil servant who spent 18 years as Arab Administrator in Egypt. Upon returning to England, he wrote several books of humorous reminiscences from his Middle Eastern experiences and essays on country living.
