First edition with Robinson's illustrations (Duckworth, 1913).
Purple cloth with lettering and decoration in gilt. Pictorial endpapers. Featuring 12 colour plates mounted under captioned tissue guards a few of which with one or two light creases and a number of attractive line drawings. Some toning and spotting to edges and browning to front and rear endpapers. The covers are in very nice bright condition. A very good copy indeed, accompanied by remnants of the rare original dust jacket.
Synopsis
Oscar Wilde's fairy tales have value for both children and the adults who read to them the tales of a pleasure seeking prince, a selfish giant, and more.
