Large 8vo. 70, (2) pp. Publisher's buckram, gilt lettering and blue, pink and gilt decoration to the upper board, gilt lettering to the spine, pictorial endpapers. 24 colour plates, an illustrated title and other decorations in the text. The cream spine browned and slightly marked. An attractive issue of Beerbohm's story which was first published in 1897, Sheringham's distinctive illustrations reflecting his love of the theatre, stage design and art nouveau adding considerably to the appeal of the work.
