FIRST EDITION 1917, (copyright 1917 and no later printings listed), oblong 4to, 237 x 312 mm, 9½ x 12¼ inches, cloth backed cream boards, colour illustrated, library binding with reinforced inner hinges, NOT ex-library. Coloured title illustration of 3 children dancing, 24 delightful full page illustrations, all printed in delicate colours on yellow ground, each with a short verse below. All of children in different activities, playing indoors and out, some with dolls and pets, bathing, dressing etc. Boards faintly marked and slightly dusty looking, corners slightly worn, 20 mm (¾") closed tear at lower edge of inner margin of half-title and title page, 15 mm closed tear in the same place on Dedication page, all neatly repaired.
