Small thick 4to, 255 x 195 mm, 10 x 7½ inches, red cloth, gilt illustrated and lettered on upper cover, gilt lettered and ruled on spine, 320 pages. 16 beautiful mounted colour plates, 37 full page and 58 smaller black and white illustrations. Slightest rub at tail of spine, prelims and edges slightly foxed, occasional light margin fox spot, neat inscription dated 1930 on front endpaper. Otherwise a near Fine bright copy in VG+ DUSTWRAPPER (dw: price intact on spine, spine slightly faded, spine lettering still bright, head and tail of spine and 3 corners a touch worn, 20 mm (¾") closed tear at foot of lower fold, small closed tear and 5 mm (¼") chip to foot of upper fold, all expertly repaired on reverse).
