American Tract Society, 1862 Hannah More [1745-1833] was an English religious writer, philanthropist and educator, friend of such notables as Edmund Burke and William Wilberforce. This copy with engraved frontis and title page, second title page, z82 pp plus 4 pp ads. Bound in blind stamped green cloth with bright gilt spine titles. There is wear at the tips, foxing the first and last few leaves with occasional light foxing throughout.
