About This Item
J Nourse, 1764. Hardcover. Fine. Robert Dossie - Handmaid to the arts - The second edition ,with considerable additions and improvements- Printed for J.Nourse ,London 1764. Two volume set ,extremely rare- only 2 other sets listed on ABE for £2,200 and £1200 respectively - neither can match the condition of this set. Considering these are nearly 300 years old ,they are in fine condition- beautiful bindings - leather spines and corner ends- marbled boards- the contents show very little indications of their age- no tears, stains or ownership marks- very tight and crisp. This is a truely remarkable set and a fascinating insight into the works of one of the leading apothecarys of the age - quite stunning.
