About This Item
London: John Murray, 1907. Hardcover. 12mo. Red cloth with gilt lettering. ix, 570pp, (33pp ads). Color foldout frontispiece map, 29 color maps (many foldout, including foldout map in rear pocket), advertisement endpapers. Very good. Binding ever so slightly edgeworn; ownership signature/address on front flyleaf. A tight and quite nice eighth revised edition of one of the all-time classic Japanese travel guides. Several of the larger foldout maps have discreet, expert archival mends on versos, but all are present and attractive.
