I've placed the dust jacket into a Brodart protective sleeve. This Atlas depicts the world as it was in 1990 (before, for example, the reunification of Germany). The book is bound in gray cloth with die-stamped silver lettering on the front panel and spine. It features a comprehensive collection of over 400 full-color maps and charts, as well as a 24-page collection of physical maps with a 3-D effect. In addition, there's a thumb-indexing system, a Gazetteer-Index of the World, a Local and Internal Index that accompanies all country and states maps, showing local cities and towns, and an A-through-Z Index of the world containing more than 25,000 entries.
