London: Genesis Publications, 1999. Signed first edition. First edition, signed by Astrid Kirchherr and Klaus Voormann; one of 2500 numbered trade copies thus. Two hardcover volumes housed in publisher's slipcase. Fine, slight bumping to tips, else as new.
The early days of The Beatles in photographs and artwork by two members of their circle. Voormann, a musician and artist, lived with Ringo Starr and George Harrison, designing the cover of the Beatles' album Revolver. German photographer Astrid Kirchherr was the first to capture the band in their German years, dating Stu Sutcliffe (their original bassist).
