About This Item

Princeton, WI: Kitchen Sink Press, 1990. First Edition. First Printing.. Hardcover. Fine/No Dust Jacket, As Issued.. Princeton, WI: Kitchen Sink Press, 1990. Hardcover. Fine/None, As Issued. First Edition/First Printing. 53 pages. The graphic artist's debut comic-strip novel. Now considered a cult classic. Limited Edition of 350 numbered and signed copies. Precedes and should not be confused with the regular trade edition, which was published simultaneously with it. The Limited Edition is now rare. A brilliant production by Skip Williamson: Regular-sized volume format. Glossy pictorial hard boards with titles on the cover and spine, as issued. Graphic art and text by Skip Williamson. Printed on pristine-white, thick uncoated stock paper in the United States to the highest standards. Without DJ, as issued. Presents, in its Limited Edition format, Skip Williamson's "Halsted Street: Torment & Drama From The Hog Butcher". Named after one of Chicago's iconic street-landmarks. Combines "hallucinogenic political analysis and Midwestern moralizing, which have made the author the ideal reporter of life in Middle America. The most political of underground humorists in the most thuggishly political of American cities" (Publisher's blurb). An absolute "must-have" title for Skip Williamson collectors. This copy is one of the Limited Edition of 350 numbered and signed copies, indicated/numbered as such on the Front Limitation Card (which is an original illustration) that is neatly pasted on the front free endpaper. It is very boldly and beautifully signed in black pen-marker on the Card by Skip Williamson. This title is a late-modern graphic art classic. This is one of few copies of the Limited Edition still available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. Please note: Copies available online are the regular trade edition or have serious flaws. This is surely an accessible and lovely alternative. A rare signed copy thus. One of the most brilliant American graphic artists of the 20th century. A fine copy. . ISBN 0878161236.
