Book Condition: Very Good +: two sections of three pages at fore edge have strike indentations else fine. DJ: Near Fine; NOT Price Clipped ($30.00); slight edge bumps. Dark brown boards with light brown overlay on spine with bright silver lettering on the spine. An extraordinary man of the American West- a man who lived, fought, and made his mark in both the Indian and White worlds. Born to COL William Bent and Owl Woman, he was raised Cheyenne, educated in White schools, fought for the Confederacy, became a Cheyenne Warrior, survived Sand Creek, became an interpreter and negotiator for Whites and Indians. He told ethnologists all they knew on Cheyenne life and never fit into either world until his death in 1918. A clean very presentable copy.
