Vizianagaram City, South India: Andhra Research University, 1941. Pamphlet. 40p. staplebound pamphlet, very good, initialed by the author "L.V.G." on title page, and again on p. 4 with a brief inscription and a green Maltese Cross pasted on. "A narrative condensed by the author from the monograph first published in Boston, Massachusetts in 1932" - page 5. The Ukrainian-born author had visited Haghia Sophia while in the Russian navy, before settling in the US. He writes about the symbolism of its artwork in the context of other religious structures from East and West.
