A study of upper class New Englanders struggle to maintain their aristocratic, puritanic standards in the 20th century. 8vo. Light cloth stamped in deep maroon and gilt. Top page edges stained deep maroon. Two small light stains on front cover. Tiny stamp on front pastedown otherwise clean. Tight. Dust jacket was originally in an old style book jacket cover with the black tape at top and bottom so has a black tape stain on very top and very bottom. Jacket spine is faded a little. near Fine/ Very good condition..
