Imprinte includes: "London: and Archibald Constable and Co." 3 volumes: [2], 341, [1] p.; [1], 346 p.; [1], 358 p.; 18 cm. Contemporary half polished calf with six spine compartments between gilt rules. Gilt-tooled spine title in second compartment with gilt-tooled volume number in fifth and embellishments in remaining compartments. Marbled paper over boards. Half titles appear after the title pages. In Good- Condition: spines are sunned and cracking; rubbed with loss at spine ends; joints are cracking; vol. 2 front board detached but present; vol. 1 front board largely detached; pages are clean and tight.
