Octavo. 334 (3)pp. Original green cloth with gilt lettering on cover, in original dustjacket illustrated with wraparound photomontage, with red lettering on spine; protected by modern mylar. Special edition of 25 copies printed on velin paper, not meant for the trade. Publisher's device on title page. Inscribed to "Vladimir Jabotinsky in sincere reverence Z. H. Wachsmann, Paris 16. VII. 1937" on colophon, numbered 16. A cheerful travelog painting a distinct picture of Czechoslovakia, present and past, its culture and economy. Illustrated with thirty-two photographic plates depicting cultural and architectural jewels of the country. Text translated into German. Dustjacket with wear along edges, small to medium chips. Binding with light wear along edges and lightly sunned. Some light foxing to colophon and first few pages, similar at rear. Z.H. Wachsman (1900-1948) was Yiddish language writer and noted journalist, known for his travel writing. He author three works on Jews in Nazi Europe.
