Reviews
On Mar 13 2020, a reader said:
There are at least two sides to every story, but here there were four sides to the fight--Jim Forester, who had at one time rode with Jesse James, but who was now honest, as long as the could keep his gun still; John Bender, an old tired man who wanted Forester to do his fighting; Major Deever, who controled everything and everyone about him, but when he couldn't buy Forester off wanted him dead; and Wes Morgan, who hated Forester but agreed to ride with him for only one reason, so he could easily shoot Forester in the back. These ingredients make for a fine, quick paced, action adventure that reads like you are watching it on a movie screen. That is Frank Gruber's style, and served him well his whole career as a writer and noted screen writer.
