Part B: The Overland Route with a Side Trip to Yellowstone Park. Part C: The Santa Fe Route with a Side Trip to the Grand Canyon of the Colorado. Part D: The Shasta Route and Coast Line. Part F: Southern Pacific Lines. All volumes complete. Parts A, B & C in publisher's red cloth with with gilt spine lettering. Parts D & F in publisher's printed wrappers. Part A with front and rear inner hinges a bit loose and with bumped corners. Overall, a very good set in attractive publisher's bindings."An increasingly large number of thoughtful and observant travelers journey over the four great railroad lines that are covered by these guides [Part F had yet to be published]... It is safe to say that they will be the most commonly used books of their class among American travelers in the United States. They deserve almost unlimited praise for their high professional character, their originality of treatment, and their painstaking attention to the traveler's point of view" (Bulletin of the American Geographical Society, Vol. 47, No. 9).
