The Guide contains a wealth of detailed, interesting, and, above all, authoritative information, which will be found of use not only to students of our past history, immediate and remote, to present Rhodesians, to visitors who may desire to sojourn in this land of sunshine and to visit and acquaint themselves with the many features of incomparable interest, natural, historic and other, which our Country provides, but also to those (and may their name be legion) who may desire to make their homes in our midst and share in the future fortunes of this latest daughter of the Empire.' - From the Foreword by Sir Charles Coghlan, Rhodesia's First Premier .
