Near fine in original dark blue cloth, lettered in gilt on spine, and very good plus dust jackets, worn and lightly chipped at extremities. Jackets wrap with the full map of Connecticut showing counties, towns and political regions. Profusely illustrated with reproductions of black & white photographs. To the date of publication, the book lists monuments, families of note, historical homes, original plats - three hundred illustrations and maps. Regional and statewide history and events. A highly desirable set, home published at Yale University. Previous owner's attractive bookplate on front pastedown of each volume. Published under the auspices of the Tercentenary Commission of the State of Connecticut for the Connecticut Daughters of the American Revolution, and inscribed to previous owner on front free endpaper by the Connecticut Society. Large quartos. 7.5 x 10.5 in. xxvii; xii; 973 pp. in total. A lovely set.
