The prologue, epilogue and additional notes by the editor, provide a full and vivid account of of the vicissitudes and aspirations of the family's most involved -- the Catos, the Bethunes and the Moran's -- as they sought to establish their families in Australasia. -- Paraphrasing the front fold over blurb.
