About This Item

NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1909. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 1st printing. Green cloth with gilt-stamped image & titles. 274pp. Illus. Owner's gift inscription from parents on ffep, at "Xmas" 1913. A classic on the subject. Note to buyer: Scribners did not start using the "A" indicating 1st edition until 1930. This copy meets earlier qualifications for1st edition. This copy very good with moderate wear to extremities - boards just showing at points & spine corners. The hinges were professionally repaired & the copy is thus in excellent, tight condition for handling/reading. A reasonably bright copy, but not bright "as new." Scarce.
