About This Item
Samedan, Switzerland: Engadin Press AG, 1975. This is not a book. It is a small 4 page note card with a color picture of flowers on the front page and 3 pages of handwriting by the well known feminist author, Kate Millett. The text of the note as follows: "Dear ------- Thank you for your very kind note about flying. It may indeed be too long - but I threw away 300 pages and spent years tightening & structuring. Don't know myself now. It's in my past. One or two people in the book took exception to their portraits - Vita and I negotiated. with 2 others I heard too late to make changes and since their portraits were utterly uncritical and admiring I learned only of inconsistent temperaments and not much else, but was still sorry. everyone else approved or put up with or ignored or was amused. I wish you the very best luck on your thesis and am pleased you're getting around to reading mine. I'm also working on those peaceful spaces you recomment. All best, Kate Millett". No date but Flying was published first in 1975.. Signed by Author. Card. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 4 1/4" x 3". Folded Card.
