First Edition, Stated 1st printing, Sept., 1929. 43 pages, followed by 2 pgs. illus., oversize 12 x 9"", color & b/w illus. by author. Green cloth binding tight, bright, clean & square w/ light sun to spine. NO bumps, rubs, fray or scuffs. All gilt cover lettering & silhouette illus. bright & intact. Clean & bright pictorial contemporaneous child's bookplate inside front cover- to me, this adds to copy's appeal. Crisp, bright purple pictorial endpapers. Text is tight, clean & unmarked w/ little to no toning. 2 numbers in circle inside back cover, at bottom- minor. NO hinge splits, torn pages, etc., NOT ex library. Handsome, well preserved copy.
