About This Item
London: George Newnes Limited, 1934. Hardcover. Very Good. [1934] 4to. Three volume Newnes cased issue, standard binding. Deep blue cloth, front board lettering in gilt, with border and exploding globe device stamped in blind. Spine stamped in gilt. Corners lightly rubbed, cloth at spine ends rubbed and bumped, a few small spots of ink and light scratches to rear board of v.1, and a light scratch to rear board of v.3. The bindings tight and square, the contents fresh and clean and the cloth is bright. A nice set. First issued in 26 fortnightly parts in 1933. A library binding in three parts in half morocco leather was published in 1934, the same year as this cloth edition and remains the same as to contents. [Cohen, A69.9.c].
