Index. 185 photographs in black and white from the Kobal collection. There is what might be a char mark or just plain grubby marks at the bottom of the dustjacket and the cover. The inside bottom edge of the dustjacket appears stain/translucent. Some minor chipping at the heel of the spine. Internally clean and free of annotation in long captions to the pictures, John Russell Taylor hints that the characters and plot behind the images, and sets the moment in its rightful place in the movie and in movie history. As he explains in his introduction to the book, great films often throw up disappointing stills, while conversely poor films can produce brilliant and enduring images, pictures and recreate an error or suggest a star's greatness. – Dustjacket blurb Size: Folio ( 12"- 15" tall ).
