Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Pages are lightly tanned, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine is slightly sunned. Gilt remains bright. Boards are slightly bowed. Unclipped jacket. Light tanning to all surfaces, heaviest to spine and edges. Heavy edgewear, with visible rips and chipping, and some areas of loss.
