Black-and-white plates with printed tissue guard protectors. Brown cloth with gold lettering and decoration on spine and covers, with gilt page edges. Volumes I - II with creases to tissue gurads at title pages and tide marks to last several pages. Volume 6 gilt rubbed on cover. Light foxing to some endpapers. Wear to corners and edges, else a sturdy handsome set.
