DJ has label on the lower spine, edges trimmed, some stains, inside flaps glued to the fixed endpapers, discoloration, and normal shelf wear otherwise good. Book has chipping and wear on the cover edges, library stamping on the top and bottom page edges, endpapers, title page, and some inside pages, library rules plate adhered on the front loose endpaper, label and cardholder adhered on the back loose endpaper, water soiling on the top page edges, tanning on the page edges, some stains, discoloration, and normal shelf wear otherwise good. By means of paintings, drawings, and the earliest photographs, with accompanying historical text, Kent Ruth recreates for today's readers the setting and the significance of 147 of the great frontier sites of the Trans-Mississippi West..
