Later maroon cloth, gilt-stamped lettering on spine, original front panel laid-down, preserving the original lovely gilt-stamped design, a.e.g.; folio; pp. 157, plus 100 plates (many of them full-color lithographs), and numerous b/w illustrations in text. Some light scuffing at spine tips and along edges of boards; tail of spine a little frayed; boards a little rubbed here and there. Plate LXXXIII has two panels neatly cut away, otherwise contents are fine.
