Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition with a Vintage Dust Jcket in Poor Condition in archival protective sleeve. It is clean, quite edge-worn, unclipped. Red cloth over spine, black & red lettering, gray cloth over boards, also with black and red lettering and red illustration of a dog. Upper corners lightly bumped, lower edges and spine heel rubbed. Red tinted top edge. Illustrated endpapers, former owner's name written in designated spot on front endpaper. Binding tight, solid, square. Internals in Near Fine Condition Frontis: Full color illustration. Illustrations by Joseph Cellini. Many b/w drawings by Joseph Cellini. A wonderful collection of 23 stories about dogs--Danes, Scotties, Irish Setters, collies, hunters, hound dogs, and puppies-- by various authors-- Albert Payson Tethune, Rudyard Kipling, Marguerite Henry, and more. 384 pages. 5.5 x 8.25 inches. 1958, Good Housekeeping, New York.
