London, John Lane, the Bodley Head Ltd., , 1925.. 1925 xii, 205 p. Ilustrations. Publisher's decorated cloth binding. A bright copy. Anne's father, John Rickman 1771 - 1740 is best known for drafting the first Census Act in 1800 and for carrying out the first four censuses. He was for some time Speakers Secretary so the family lived in Old Palace Yard. He was noted as a friend of Robert Southey and Charles Lamb. The Early recollections were originally written for Anne's two nieces.
