1919. First Edition. Softcover. Very good. 103 pp, illustrated. Small stain at top margin of front wrapper, slight wear at corners, binding tight, text clean. "Forbes was at one time keeper of the Spanish and Mexican Archives of the U.S. Surveyor General, and out of his broad knowledge of Spanish California, compiled this interesting survey of the missions of old California with historical and statistical notes. He also presents an interesting study and viewpoint on the Bear Flag revolt" (Randall & Windle catalogue).
