About This Item
Powell and White, 1927 Edition unstated, likely a First. "The Golden Room: Some Characteristic Letters and Quotations" of Elizabeth W. Ross, known to many as "Mother" Ross, who helped found the Southern Christian Institute. Also included: A poem typed by Ross and though not signed, typed at the bottom is, "Mother Ross, for Mrs.____, Oct. 12, 1925." The back has some notes in pencil, some marked out, unknown whose handwriting this is. There is also a poem written on a small 3 x 5 piece of paper; presumably in Ross' own hand, though I can't know this with certainty. Book in nice shape, clean and unmarked. Jacket has a couple stains on front and some inside tape repair. Photo frontispiece and some illustrations throughout the book. A nice collection.
