Quarto, 42pp. Purple cloth, title stamped in gilt on spine, brass cockerel attached to front cover. Clean text, no marks or notations. Minor tarnishing to cockerel. Original near fine glassine dust jacket, minor tears along top and bottom edges. Original paper-covered chemise with printed gold cockerel design, toning to spine. Housed in publisher's original paper-covered slipcase, toning to spine and edges, light shelf wear. From a limited edition of 1500 copies, this being number 1265, signed by the illustrator, Edmund Dulac. A beautiful example.
