Venetia: Presso Gio. Battista Ciotti, 1598. Full Calf. Very Good. 768 pp. A near miniature book, 12mo, measuring 11 by 6 cm or 4.5 by 2.25 inches. Small postage stamp-sized woodcuts as header of each canto. Also decorative letter figures starting off each canto. Tight and notwithstanding some toning to leaves, text clear and crisp. Side margins tight, but this is how pages were cut. Later brown calf (probably 19th century) has some scuffs and rubbing but still sound.
