About This Item
New York: William Morrow & Co.. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1940. First Edition. Hardcover in jacket. First edition measuring 7 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches bound in black cloth with red lettering along the spine. Small discoloration to the upper board and to the head of the spine. Toned end pages but the contents remain complete in 283 bright crisp pages. Lightly soiled and foxed dust jacket with edge wear and some small chip loss. From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
